Lauren Castles
Lauren Castles was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 2011 after graduating Magna Cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. Mrs. Castles has chosen to focus her practice solely on family law litigation at the law firm of Higgins, Himmelberg & Piliponis.
Mrs. Castles received her undergraduate degree in Political Science and History from Samford University in 2008, graduating with Honors. While at Samford, Mrs. Castles competed on the University’s Mock Trial team for four years, serving as the team’s Co-Captain for her last two years.
While in law school at Pepperdine, Mrs. Castles simultaneously earned her Juris Doctorate and her Master’s in Dispute Resolution. During that time, she focused her studies on litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She also served as a member of the Pepperdine Law Review and as captain of her Trial Team, winning the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition in 2011. During her time at Pepperdine, Mrs. Castles independently conducted 26 mediations for parties facing small claims disputes, limited jurisdiction disputes and Temporary Restraining Orders.
During law school, Mrs. Castles clerked for the Davidson County District Attorney’s office, for a prestigious law firm, and for two industry-respected mediators.
When she is not working, Mrs. Castles enjoys spending time with family, painting and playing golf.
